SAB Blueseal compression fittings are made of polypropylene (PP) for joining polyethylene (PE) pipes, and are tested to withstand the working pressure of 16 bars (PN16) .
Blueseal16 fittings obtained the most prestigious certificates from leading international bodies, and therefore, they are suitable for potable water pipelines.
The special feature that distinguishes the Blueseal16 fitting from others on the market is the patented sealing system, which consists of a unified lip gasket and a characteristic blue spacer ring, making it unique and singular. This sealing system is designed to push the gasket against the pipe wall thanks to the slide effect: when in the water piping system is put under pressure, this effect amplifies the seal. This occurs even in case of damaged pipes with some defects. Another special feature is a quick and easy installation, thanks to the shape of the gasket, designed to make the pipe insertion much easier.

The Blueseal compression fittings range includes over 300 items that differ in shape, size and application. Couplings, elbows, 90° tees, end plugs, etc., are produced in SAB to connect pipes from diameter 16mm to 110mm. Among the various types are PE to copper fittings, universal PE to metal fittings, fittings with brass threaded inserts and, finally, models with Viton gasket and PBT grip ring, used where there is a presence of acids, e.g. in the mining sector. These fittings are also available with NPT threads.
